When film director Paul Devlin and Bob first met, it was for advice on creating animated maps. It quickly grew into full blown creative collaboration between Devlin Productions and Artifactuality.

"BLAST!" is a film about scientists in extreme places doing extraordinary science. Artifactuality helped Paul stylize his story in a unique "non-NOVA" way, by providing 3-d animation, special effects, graphic design and maps.

The opening title sequence needed to explain "BLAST!" in a visually exciting and non-school book way. With the original music of Richard Martinez, and typographical solution by Artifactuality, the viewers entrance into the film is both unexpected, and certainly a cue that this is not your typical science-doc.
