The Ruins was located in a remote island of exotic Thailand. Being familiar with Asian cultures, we were inspired by the beautiful, peaceful and mejestic buddhist temples and their motif. The stories of this season's challenge, however was *NOT* peaceful. In fact, the betrayal, feuds, violence, greed and hatred were plenty to turn a peaceful island a living hell... Therefore our creative strategy for this design package had a backdrop transitioning from serenity into a fiery dungeon. The fights and violence among the casts were enough to turn the compassionate Buddha angry, which served as another layer of interest.
